MEMORANDA
Scooters, ex-Scoutcrs, and any person interested are reminded that the monthly meeting of the Scooters’ Association will lake pi act* at 7.30 p.m. to-morrow. A visitor to Gisborne at present, Mr. D. Neilson, is giving an account of experiences in India, together with excellent litm-slides, at the Men's United Meeting, advertised elsewhere in this issue. With his wife, Mr. Neilson has been engaged in work among the Muslim people in the city of Mysore, South India. This Stale is ruled by an Indian maharajah, and has been described by a traveller as follows: "Of all places in India few are more attractive, fruitful or rewarding than the State of Mysore.' The pictures include not only scenes from this verdant plateau, but also of life and activity throughout most of the territory served by the mission in the Madras Presidency, with additional views from elsewhere in India. The lecturer’s story of God's work in this great land is one with an undoubted appeal.
