MR. LANSBURY IN ROME

PEACE BADGE WORN (Reed. July 10, 11.15 a.m.) ROME, July 9. Wearing a “peace” badge in his buttonhole, Mr. Lansbury, the Labour member of the House of Commons for Bow, arrived in Rome to-day.

“I hope to see Signor Mussolini this evening or co-morrow,” he said. Mr. Lansbury spent 75 minutes in talk with Signor Mussolini. He said: “Signor Mussolini was most friendly. I am very pleased with the talk.” Mr. Lansbury’s object is an international conference on disarmament and world peace.
