WORRIED BY DOGS
SOUTH OTAGO FLOOK DEATH OF 32 EWES (Special to the Herald.) ■ DUNEDIN, this day. Mr.: John Blair, a well-known farmer of Toiro, South Otago, reports the loss of 32 two and four-tooth ewes, through the depredations of sheep-worrying dogs on Thursday. The sheep were found }n a dead or dying condition in a creek that runs through the property, and from the bite? visible on some of the carcases it was clear that the animals had been hounded by dogs to their death. Mr. Blair estimates his loss at £SO. So far the dogs responsible have not been discovered.
