ALLEGED PERJURY
lii-YEAR-OLD WARRANT SYDNEY, July 2. William Ross, aged 40, salesman, was remanded till July 14 at the Central Police Court yesterday by Mr. Arnold. S.M.. on a charge of perjury. The charge, which was laid by warrant issued on September 24, 1921, was that on August 25, 1921, before Mr. Charles Jennings, S.M., Ross wilfully and falsely swore in substance on an occasion when the truth was material. "I am employed at 223 Oxford street, Darlinghurst, in a wine saloon, and received £4 a week. I work from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. I was engaged by Mr. Kitchener for nine months. 1 have been paid regularly every week at the rate of £4 per week. 1 drew my last pay on Friday last. I was paid £4."
