SOUTHAMPTON WELCOME
CLIPPER FROM STATES (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1.15 p.m. RUGBY, July 8. The Pan-American Airways Clipper, which made the commercial survey flight from Newfoundland to Ireland, arrived at the temporary air base at Southampton to-day from Foynes. The Mayor of Southampton and officials of the Air Ministry and Imperial Airways welcomed Captain Gray and the crew.
