MALE EMU WANTED

APPEAL FROM TOKIO

TOKIO, June 27

The director of the Ueno Zoological Gardens at Tokio, Mr. Tadamichi Koga, told the representative of the Australian Press Association that he would appreciate it if some Australian zoo would send a male emu to be a male for the solitary female here which has laid an egg which is unhatchable. Mr. Koga said he would gladly return something in exchange. Incidentally, a crane sent from Melbourne zoo 30 years ago is still alive.
