OXFORD TRIUMPH FAILURE OF CAMBRIDGE (Reed. July 8, 3 p.m.) LONDON, July 7. Oxford won the cricket match against Cambridge by seven wickets. Cambridge, which made 253 runs m the first strike, scored 173 in the second. Maclndoe took four wickets for 42 runs. Oxford, after scoring 2G7 in the first innings, compiled 160 runs for three wickets in the second. Barton was 74 not out and Kumpton 52 not out.
WOMEN PLAYERS AUSTRALIANS LEAD (Reed. July 8, 3 p.m.) LONDON, July 7. j Playing the Australian women's team the Hampshire women made 65 runs in the first innings. Miss Smith took five wickets for 10 runs. The Australians scored 149 for six wickets and declared. Miss George made 41 and Miss Hudson 32 not out.
