A “MUG’S GAME”

CORONATION WEEK TRICK

A broken mug caught many “mugs” in London during Coronation week. Police are anxious to trace a little curly-haired boy, aged about nine, and a benevolent-looking man, who were busily engaged in the Coronation racket. Choosing crowded streets the boy fell down, smashing a Coronation mug (value 3d), and cries “I was taking it home to mother." The benevolent man rushed to his side, gave the boy sixpence and asked the crowd for a whip-round so that Tommy could buy another mug. He did —caught more in Ihe next street.
