Won by three lengths, and 1> lengths between second and third. -Time, 3.42. Lawn Handicap.—Spinifex, 8.8 (West), 1: Hostile, 9.0 (Morncmcnt), 2: Dermid, 8.1 (McPherson), 3. Nine started. Won by 2.1 lengths, and 11 Time, 1.13. This is the second year in succession that Spinifex has won the event. Gooparle Handicap—Empire, 8.4 (Simmonds). 1: Beauroi, 8.4 (Badger), 2: Palatinate, 8.11 (Wilson), 3. Eleven started. Won by a length: threequarters of a length between second and third. Time. 1.42. Upokc Ariki and Desert Chief were unplaced in the Braybrook Handicap, which was won by Demagogue.
