HOCKEY
UMPIRES FOR SATURDAY SCHOOL HOY COMPETITION Hockey fixtures for next Saturday on the Childers Road Reserve and High School grounds are the same as those arranged for last Saturday, but some alterations have been made in umpires. An entry has been received from Marist for the schoolboy competition, making three teams. Other teams also have been mentioned, and the Hockey Association believes that at least one more could be organised. All the teams and boys interested in the formation of a new team are asked to assemble on the High School grounds at 10 a.rn, on Saturday. Mr. Mnhunga Pere will be in charge.
Fixtures and umpires for Saturday are as follow: —
Senior men. —Caledonian v. Y.M.C.A, B No. 2 ground, at 1.15 pan., Messrs. I-I. Le Bas and T. Tuhoe; Defence v. Y.M.C.A. A, No. 1 ground, at 3.15 pan., Messrs. H. Swan and B. Tuhoe; Foresters v. Wesleyan, No. 2 ground, at 2.15 pan., Messrs. H. Armstrong and J. Henderson.
Ladies. —Coronation v. Kia Toa A, No. 1 ground, at 2.15 pan., Messrs. D. M. Grade and J. Turbitt; Waituhi v. Kia Toa B, No. 1 ground, at 1.15 pan.. Messrs. G. Corbett and G. File; Y.M.P. v. Old Girls, No. 2 ground, at 3.15 pan., Mcsssr. G. Slade and N. Duley. Junior men. —High School , A, v. High School B, at High School ground, at 3 pan, Messrs. G. W. Langhorne and M. Hill.
