New Romantic Star
j-| OLLYWOOD’S new romanticcomedy star, Ferdinand Gravet, is a 31-year-old French-Belgian who changed his name from Graavey, as he explains, “lest people get me mixed up with the national dish.” Although he and his wife ran a little theatre in Paris, Gravet speaks precise English, learnt at St. Paul'S School in England, which he attended during the war. The actor maintains ah army of 30.000 toy soldiers, of which a few members always travel with their owner, and he took several hundred with him to Hollywood.
QEORGE Brent, who married Jocelyn Hownrth not long ago, is a native of Dublin, Ireland, where he was born 33 years ago. After attending the University of Dublin, Brent began his theatrical career, playing in stock companies, and finally on Broadway, before entering pictures. His hobby is polo.
