INTOXICATED DRIVER
NOT TO DRIVE FOR YEAR vorxn max pextshed (Ter Tress Associa I ion.) INVERCARGILL, last night. In the Police Court to-day, before Mr. W. 11. Freeman, S.M., Vernon Dwyer Vincent, aged 20, was convicted on charges of negligent driving and being intoxicated while in charge of a motor car. "Ample warning lias been given all over New Zealand about these cases, and people should not take the risk,” said the magistrate, in fining Vincent *£1() and costs and prohibiting him from driving a car for 12 months. ‘Defendant is young but you can not teach them too young,” said the magistrate. Vincent was convicted and discharged on the charge of negligent driving.
