MINISTERIAL TOURS
TWO AT END OF JUNE BAY OF PLENTY AND COAST Two further Ministerial tours are planned for the Bay of Plenty electorate to take place at the end of this month. Arrangements for them are being mane by Mr. A. Gordon Hultquist, M.P., who stated to-day that these probably will be the final Ministerial tours of the electorate this year. Since the Inst session of Parliament, he said, seven Ministers, or more than half of the Cabinet, will have been in Iris electorate by the time this month's tours are disposed of. The Hon. W. Leo Martin, Minister of Agriculture, has arranged to arrive in Whakatane on June 27 to commence a tour of the coastal districts to Gisborne for the purpose of meeting deputations. The Hon. W. E. Parry, Minister of Internal Affairs, Museums, Advertising and Pensions, had expected to come early this month to each county to address them on amalgamation proposals, but Mr. Hultquist has been advised that he will not be able to come until the end ot the month, but no definite dates have been arranged yet. Mr. Hultquist said that he had intended addressing a number of public meetings during the month, but in view of tho Labour Party caucus being held in Wellington on June 17, with the probability of most of the members attending the official opening of the Wellington railway station two days later, bis own as well as Ministerial arrangements had been altered. However, Mr. Hultquist lioped to visit as many places ns possible during July or August.
