A radio message from tho Now Zraiaud solai - expedition to Canton Island slates that last night (he Now Zealanders were entertained by the Americans: The speakers were Air. 0. IT Michifl for New Zealand and Messrs. Mitchell and Hell wag for the Americans. The speakers referred to the cordial relations between the United States and New Zealand and to the meeting of old friends. Reference was made, to Dr. John Rule and the late Mr. Walter Cade, who were to accompany the New Zealand party. The coelostab was assembled on the base and the eoronograph placed in position and the framework' of the covet erected. Mr. W. E. Ocddes and Mr. I. L. Thomsen continue the observations ol the zodiacal light hands with satislactory results. The Americans continue the focussing of their ijvtruments and are checking them each day, using two chronometers and 18 watches, from time signals received hv radio.
