CAR- GOES THROUGH BRIDGE

I'ttbtl injuries were sustained bv Air. Arthur il. M.-trson. aged 25. a railway employee at Vlaungaturoto. North Auckland. when the ear in which he was a passenger met with an accident on the V\ i-llsfurd-Mauligatnrob) main highway on Sunday.
Mr. Marson, with a number of other railway employees from Mnungatiiroto. was returning front a football match tit. Well-lord against railway employees there. The car. which was driven by Mr. .). Allen, of Mnungatiiroto. failed to negotiate a bridge at the bottom of a difficult hill, crashed through the railings. and fell into the creek below.
Mr. Alarson was killed outright and Mr. Alien Milfered severe leg injuries, which necessitated iiis admission to the I 'it pit ron Hospital. Mr. Alarson had worked for the IVuilwav Department for the past nine years ami had been stationed at Alaungntumto for the past six months. 11 is home was at TV Di pupti.
