(Herald Correspondent.) Mr. ami Mrs. A. Grunt, formerly of Tikitiki, have taken u|> lheir resilience in Motu -Valiev road. Mr. Grant is building a blacksmith’s shop there, and intends to carry on his trade on the premises. Alias Cramer-Roberts,' l’apamoa, is spending a short, holiday in Matawai as the guest of her sister, Mrs. d. \\ . Smith. At the women’s institute hall on Saturday night there was a large attendance of enthusiastic card players. Weekly Hag Jive-hundred tournaments have taken’ the place of euchre, and much enthusiasm is being shown in tlii> contests. Six laities were tilled and more players are expected now the restrictions on gatherings are lifted. The players, at the winning table were Mrs. F. Greatba-tch and Messrs. 11. Rulst, A. E. Gibson, 0. Ash down. A delicious supper was served by the committee. Mr. X. S. Gibson, who recently underwent an operation in a private hospital in Auckland, expects to leave hospital on Thursday, to stay with friends.
