THE CAR THAT STANDS UP BEST #^»eww^ issxesssamss^sstssg^ 1937 Chrysler PLYMOUTH Day in, day out—up hiJI, down dale in every sort of weather— the taxi has to stand the severest test. Only a car made by CHRYSLER can stand the strain with such little maintenance cost. Read below the experiences of a PLYMOUTH owner —a taxi proprietor whose living depends on the extreme efficiency and economical running of his car. Note: The PLYMOUTH is the car the Hcll-Drivcrs failed to smash the car that stands up best. WELLINGTON, 30th April, 1937. Messrs. Todd Motors Ltd., WELLINGTON. Dear Sirs, , . , , _ After eleven years as a taxi proprietor, owning fleets of cars of various makes, I am. perfectly satisfied that Plymouth and Chrysler cars are the best buy for taxi work. This has been proved beyond doubt by my maintenance and running cost records covering all makes of cs maintenance costs on Ch As for mileage the following is the performance to date of three cars put on the road in 1934 and 1935: — A. 1934 Plymouth 60,580 miles B. 1934 Plymouth 30,460 miles C. 1935 Chrysler 36,840 miles These cars are still in continuous service and running perfectly. The cost of running expenses of each car is very low, for instance Car "A" that has now done 60,580 miles,' the repair's cost to date is less than £lO. » On petrol consumption each averages, on short town trips, 18 miles per gallon and on long runs S 3 tniles per gallon. ,■■■, , ™ , «■ .1, I am firmly convinced that the small additional initial cost for Chrysler or Plymouth cars is easily saved within the first year due to economical running and lower maintenance costs, whilst over the whole life of the car the amount in question is saved threefold. This is substantiated by the fact that increasing numbers of taxi owners arc changing to Chrysler products. ' , , " „ Yours faithfully, (Signed) H. T. Hull zmm -A.
