J. Nixon was the first trainer to work after lii'cakl'ast in Gisborne to-day. the track being in perfect, order for training operations. than Mahala (Zuppicich) over a round ~f the schooling hurdles in 1 mill. 48see. Mahala lost ground at the jumps owing to not being so proficient in the art ol jumping as her companion. Gay Hunter (Kellett) was given sound work' on the plough and is thriving on Ibis "lass of work. Gay Hunter will he a runner at Napier Park.

John diaries will have his first race for some time at Foxtou. The big gelding has been doing everything right m his schooling at Green meadows, lie will he a runner in the Century Hurdles at Wanganui.

Joviality has joined W. McKinnon's team at Grcemneudows. The brown horse has done a light season at the stud and he may now show Lis quality on the racecourse, as he is a good "alloper and was well forward when he left.

J. Kellett left this morning for Auckland to ride Permyeomcqtiiek in her engagements. The. bay filly has run her best races with Kellett in the saddle.
