FATE dF YOUNG MAN

POSSIBLE IDENTITY

(Per Press Association.) WITAKATANE, this day. The body of a man, aged about 25 years, was* found in an eight-cylinder car on the. roadside near the junction of the Tarawera and the WhakataneRotorua road to-day. A motorist coming to Whakatane last night noticed the car on the roadside. When returning to Rotorua this morning he stopped to investigate and found the body in the back seat. The police were notified and went to the scene. The only evidence of probable identification found was a receipt in respect of a Shorter* rental car for 10s in the name of William Gibson.
