HOSPITAL EXTENSIONS
CHRISTCHURCH PLANS
APPROVAL BY BOARD

CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The building of a subsidiary hospital away from the present public hospital and additions to the new nurses' home were decided on by the North Canterbury Hospital Board to-day. The plans an/ to be prepared immediately, but it is expected it will be two years before the project is completed. These decisions represent the first step in the reorganisation of the present hospital facilities on which between £200,003 and .G 300,000 is to be spent in the next eight or nine years. Accommodation for a further 250 nurses is to be provided in the additions to the nurses home.
