WORLD-WIDE TRIBUTES MESSAGES OF SYMPATHY NEW YORK, May 24. A private rail ear was sent to Florida to bring) the, body ot Mr. John 1). Rockefeller senior, whoso death occurred on Sunday, for a simple, private funeral which' is planned for Wednesday at. Ins late oflicial residence in Pocantico Hills, where he planned to celebrate his 98th birthday in July. The burial will take place on Thursday at Cleveland beside that of his wiie. This is in accordance with the wishes of the immediate members of the . family, none of whom were at the bedside, due to the unexpectedness ot the seizure, and who are remaining in seclusion at Pocantico Mills.
Messages of condolence and tributes are arriving from notable people in all parts of the world. Due to tlie scope of Air. Rockefeller’s philanthropies, it is believed that the estate will prove astonishingly small, due to the fact that lie has given more than £160.000.000 to various educational, scientific and religious institutions and most, of the remainder to Ins heirs. The New York Times estimates the estate at less than £50,000,000.
