BUTCHERS’ HOURS
NEW AWARD PROVISIONS 44-HOUR WEEK GRANTED WEEK-DAY GLOBING 4.15 I’mlcr the new award conditions affecting the butchers’ industry in Gisborne, retail butchers’ shops will close at. 4.15 p.m. daily henceforth, exception the weekly half-days, when tho closing hour will be noon.
The provisions of the award fix the hours of work for butchers’ assistants as from 7.50 a.m. until 4.15 p.m. daily except on the hall-days, when the assistants will commence work at 6.30 a.m., and finish at noon.
Pork butchers' shops will remain open from 8.30 a.m., to 5.30' p.m. on lour days of each week, Horn 8.50 a.m. to 8.50 p.m. on tHo long business-day of the week, and from 8.50 a.m. to, noon on tin' early-dosing day. Pork-butchers and small goods shop-assistants will work from 8.50 a.m. to noon on Mondays, from 8.50 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday and Friday, and from 8 a.m. until 8.30 p.m. on Saturdays.
The now provisions will come, into force immediately, and will continue until either employers or employees move for an adjustment.
