APPLE MARKET EASIER LONDON, May 22. There have been very heavy arrivals of apples, and the market is easier. New Zealand, ex Arawa, Wairangt and Rangitata : Stunners, 9s to 10s, 9d a case. h ~ Australian : Jonathans, 6s to as oil a case; Granny Smiths, 10s 6d to Ids 6d. Pears have met a slow inquiry. Shareholders of Claude Neon (N.Z.), Limited, at a special meeting last .week, decided to increase the capital ol the company to £IOO,OOO by the creation oi 40.000 additional £1 shares. Oi the new shares, 14,010 are to be offered to shareholders at a. premium of 2s 6d .each, in the proportion of one share for eveiy four shares held on May 19McKENZIE’S STORES SHARES A substantial number of shares in McKenzies Department Stores, Limited, was made available for public purchase in Wellington on Friday at £4 2s Gd a share. These shares curry the recentlyannounced dividend of 171 per cent. The first issue on May 10 was made at £3 7s 6d a. share, and it was taken up immediately. It is understood that the latest issue is lb., last block of shares to be released by Air. J. R. McKenzie, after which application will be made for listing the shares on the Stock Exchange. Talisman Dubbo Gold Mines, Limited, reported to the Wellington Stock Exchange that 58 tons was treated at the Golden Dawn battery for an approximate realisation of £l9B. New River Gold Dredging Company reports a return of gold during the week ended May 20 of 520 z. from 9000yds treated in 'lO4 hours dredging time. The Mossy Creek return was 230 z. Gdwt. from 10,511yds for 135 hours. The Worksop Extended Gold Dredging Company reports a return, for the week ended May 20 of 15oz. from 8000yds lor 109 hours.
