HAWKE’S BAY ESTIMATE’ It has been estimated that had satisfactory arrangements been made for the shipping of chilled beef available, during May over 2000 .head would have 'been' chilled at the Hawke’s Bay freezing works. /The rates paid for chilling cattle amount to over £l. a head more than if the same cattle were frozen. The loss to the farmers of the district as a to-; Milt of. the lack of adequate arraugenurits is therefore woll in excess of £2OOO.' —Telegraph.
