The liner Habana, with 4000 refugee children and 200 adults crammed into accommodation for 1500, attended by two armed trawlers of the Basque Navy, headed for the open sea at daybreak. A British destroyer awaited het 1 at. "the limit of territorial waters.
A fleet of mine-sweepers, as a precautionary measure, preceded the Habana. Their activities were rewarded with a total bag of 300 mines, two of which were picked up yesterday.
