WHATATUTU NEWS
(Herald Correipomlwit.) The official opening of the Whata tutu golf course look place during the week-end, the ceremony being performed by the patroness, Mrs. G. W. Clarke. A delicious afternoon tea was served picnic fashion on the course. Those taking part were Mesdames G. W. Clarke. C. Gaukrodger, K. Tail, and R. X. King: -Misses If. King, M. Alexander, W. Casey, Joyce, Joan and Shirley Clarke and M. Walker; Messrs. S. To Pan, I'. Brown, U. Alexander and C Campbell. The Whalatutu football team were defeated by Waipaoa by eight' points to three in the first match of the first round at Whatalutu on Saturday.
Mrs. R. N*. King and her two small sons, Bay and dim, are visiting the former's" mother, Mrs. C. A. Evans. Otoko.
