MINE DISASTER VICTIMS VICTORIAN PROVISION MELBOURNE, May 3. The widows of the 13 victims of the Wonthaggi coal mine disaster will receive £2 weekly for "0 years, and their dependants under 18 years 15s weekly from the fund which has been raised publicly. The fund totals £29,121. The income is based on the assumption that it will earn 3J per cent.

The total cost of tho weekly payments for 20 years is estimated at £25,101. Already £IOO in cash has been paid to each family. Emergency provisions have been made for payment in certain .cases to widows beyond the 20 years. The balance of £2720 will be applied to the special care of children, educational assistance, and medical aid.
