SCHOOL RUGBY

FOSTERING THE SPORT WAIROA TEACHERS MEET (Herald Correspondent.) A meeting of Wairoa school teachers was held on Saturday morning to dincuss the position of school Rugby with a view to its improvement. It was decided that the whole matter should be referred to the next meeting of the Teachers' Institute, so as to enlist stronger support for school Rugby on the part of the sub-union. It was pointed out forcibly that if the teachers did not encourage Rugby in their schools—and there were other codes seeking admission—then it would adversely affect the Rugby Rub-union, hearing in mind that it was from the schools that the players came.
