POST OFFICE REVENUE
DOMINION INCREASE FIGURES FOR THE YEAR (Pur Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Post Office revenue for the year ended on March 31 was £3,884.000, compared With £3,550.000 for the 1935-1936 year. The main totals and increases were :--
the. toll traffic ill March was flip highest oii record, being £1,268,500. The communications revenue was £55,000. The- number of telegrams," 467.000. was the highest for seven years'excepting for December and February of 1931.. the latter month heingi the period of the Napier earthquake, '.I he following are. the Savings Bank figures for the year: Deposits, £30,677.000; withdrawals, £27,042,000; amount to the credit of depositors at March 31, 1937. £58.065,000, compared with £52,916.000 on March 31, 1936, an increase of £5,149,000.
