(Herald Correspondent.) Mr R. R. S. Caiilton, who has been a member of the staff of the Matawai Post Office for the past three years. leaves on Thursday for Katikati. Mr, Caiilton. who has been an efficient officer, and a good all-round sport, will be tendered a farewell at the Matawai Public Hall on Wednesday evening. Mis successor is Mr. Foote, formerly of the Opotiki Post Office staff, who arrived in Matawai yesterday. Preparations for a concert in aid of the parish car fund are well in hand, and the date, has been li.xed for .June 25. A field day was held at the Women's Institute grounds last Thursday, when a satisfactory crop of potatoes was harvested.
