CENSUS IN GOLF PROPOSED LIMITATION LONDON. March 8. The Daily .Mail's' golfing correspondcut says a census is l>cin«>: secretly taken concerning the mmiher of dubs in the bags of goif (!iil> members with a view to its presentation to the Koyal and Ancient Olnh in connection with the proposal for the limitation of -.clubs. It is believed the result will show an overwhelming majority in favour of 15 or more clubs. 1 nder the rules of golf committees cannot restrict the number of clubs except iu championships.
