Leon Blum, asking for an increase in the pay of miners, civil servants, arid public works employees. He also asked for early steps by the Government to halt the rising cost of living and for a legalised May Day holiday. STAY-IN STRIKE CREW OF BIG LINER (Reed. March 10, noon.) LE HAVRE, March 9. The crew of the liner Normandie have declared a stay-in strike and refuse to move for 72 hours unless granted a 40-hour week and a wage increase by 30 per cent.
