INCREASING EMPLOYMENT

TREND IN BRITAIN FEBRUARY FIGURES (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 9.30 a.m. RUGBY, March 9. The Ministry of Labour estimates that at February 22 the number of insured persons, exclusive of agricultural workers, in employment was approximately 11,187,C00, this being 81,000 more than a month before and 662,000 more than a year before. At the same date the numbers of registered unemployed in Britain were 1.027,845, consisting of 1,391,932 wholly unemployed, 161,634 temporarily laid oil, and 74,079 normally in casual employment. This was 61,378 less than at (January 25, and 397,176 less than a year before.
