NEW YORK, March 6
Opium valued at £60,000 was seized in one of the largest Customs raids when 6CO tins were removed from the freighter Taybank on her arrival from Shanghai. Seven men were arrested.
Officials declare that they have finally succeeded in breaking up an important international smuggling ring.
