INTER-CLUB MEETING

VISIT FROM OPOTIKI Fifteen athletes from the Opotiki Athletic Club visited Gisborne this afternoon to take part in an inter-club athletic meeting on the Childers Road Reserve with tne Gisborne Amateur Athletic and Harrier Club. Since the club started floodlight meetings it has had oa the average one day meeting annually, and this is the first occasion on which a team Iran The Opotiki club has made the trip. It is hoped to make the visit an annual one, the. Gisborne'officials recognising the benefits of inter-club competition. Last-minute difficulties in regard to transport upset arrangements from tbo Opotiki end and as a result the numerical strength of the visiting team was reduced.
