A TOUCHING SCENE VICTIM AND ACCUSED WOMAN FORGIVEN (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. March G, 2.30 p.m.) PARIS, March 5. A touching scene was witnessed when Madame Sclimedcr-Chnpellut and M. Pierre Lallemant met in the examining magistrate’s room for the first time since the shooting incident in December.

The wounding of the French flyer, M. Lallemant, who, after the landing and take-off of his plane at Trappes, in France, was found with a. bullet wound in his neck, and the subsequent crash of a plane, piloted by a woman, resulted in the arrest of Irene Sehmcder-Cliapellut on a charge of attempted murder. Madame Chapellut is the vivacious 32-year-old wife of a. rich maimfacturer, aged 57 years, who gratified her every wish until she abandoned her social activities and shared a flat with a woman friend. Slu* spent much time with M. Lallemant, who taught her to fly. Eventually they fell in love. The husband, learning of his wife’s infatuation, arranged for a divorce, blit meanwhile M. Lallemant fell in love with another woman, and proposed marriage to her.
