OVER 100 SNOWBOUND
FOOD RUNNING LOW EFFORTS AT RESCUE SAN FRANCISCO, Fob. 14. Rescue crews worked at top speed in four widely-separated western areas to free over 100 persons who were snowbound. Thirty-two persons, including an expectant mother, marooned since December 27 in tho snow-bound north rim of the Grand Canyon have been notified of approaching restuers. Their food is running low and it is fearer' there will be another snowstorm.
The rescuers are still 34 miles away. They have attacked intervening drifts with three big snow ploughs, including the snowmobile lsed by Admiral Byrd on one of lib Antarcticexpeditions.
Elsewhere seven men ire missing and searching parties are lacing almost insurmountable dificulties in the search.
