Sport and General Photo. OLD SERBIAN CUSTOM.—In accordance with an old Serbien custom of "Blessing the Wnter," an ice cross was thrown into the River Save on January 21 by the head of the Orthodox Serbian Church. This year the cross was thrown from a new bridge over the Save, and church members, in spite of the intense cold, flung themselves into the river to bring the cross to the bank. At top, Patriarch Warnawa throwing the consecrated cross into the river, and, below, the swimmers in the river.
