AEROPLANE WRECKED
PASSENGER INJURED ESCAPE OF THE PILOT (Per Press Association.) CHIiISTCHUrcOH, last night. A Spartan aeroplane owiukl by New Zealand Airways Limited was wrecked on a farm at StftVcly this afternoon, but the pilot, Mr. John Kilian, was not injured. " Mr. Colin L. Austin, nged 2fi, owner of the farm, who was a passenger in the aeroplane, suffered a scalp wound.
The machine was totally wrecked nnd was taken in a lorry to Springburn and from thore it will ho sou', by mil to Timaru. The pilot took oil twice without a passenger to lest the field. There was a gusty northwester.
