AGRICULTURE ECONOMICS
MASSEY COLLEGE POST MR. 11. P.. LOW APPOINTED (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., this day. The, Massey College Council has confirmed the appointment of Mr. H. J». Low, M.A., as lecturer in agriculture economics, vice Mr. D. 0. Williams, who is now a Government director of tho Bank of New Zealand.
Mr. Low was dux of the Timaru Boys' High School in 1927, and entered Canterbury University College in 1928 as tho holder of a university national scholarship. He won the John Connal scholar ship in 1929, and in 1930 was awarded the senior scholarship in economics for the student securing the highest marks for third year work in the four New Zealand colleges.' He completed a brilliant career by obtaining his M.A. degree with first class honours in economics in 1933. He also acted as assistant lecturer in economics at Canterbury College. For the past three years Mr. Low has been on the staff of the Nanking) University in China, engaged partly in research work in agricultural economics.
