S. Kudland, Mr. and Mrs. il. Dickson, Mrs. M. Halliwell; Misses J. and N. Kudland, N. Halliwell, It. McLean, P. Mules, M. Cooper (Gisborne), J. and I. Allen, J. Scliofield. F. Hughes, 'l'. Hunt and M. Jackson; Messrs. K. Metcalfe, A. McLean, C. Newby, I'. Hunt. J. Tyrell and 0. Wheeler.

Miss Mary Cooper, who lias been spending the holidays with Mrs. P. ,'laylor, has returned to her home at Wainui Beach, Gisborne. A most enjoyable afternoon was spent on Tuesday, when .Mrs. If. U. Fairlie 'arranged a riverside picnic. Unfortunately the weatluy was cold and dull, so the swimming pool was not as inviting as it would have been had Die weather been more favourable, flames and competitions were played and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Later a dainty afternoon tea was served under the trees. Those present were Mesdames If. Fairlie, N. Branson, H. Clarke, 0. Hughes, and P. •Taylor; Misses R. Fairlie, W. and B. Metcalfe. P. Mules, M. Cooper (Gisborne), C, M. and E. Halliwell, .7. and M. Kudland, D. Cowan, F. Hughes, and N. Micheals (Hamilton); Masters B. Cooper (Gisborne), and J. Micheals (Hamilton).
