R. BULL WINS TWICE A good attendance of members was present on Saturday at the Gisborne Defence Club's range when the second shoot in the February Handicap competition at fiOOvds took place. Several good scores weie registered. In the aperture .series two shoots of 10 were fired. R. Bull scoring 94 points off the rifle, plus 1 point handicap, to win the match, although his second effort was an unlucky one when he dropped his eighth shot ton magpie for 48. MEMORIAL BELT TO POKO
The championship rillc meeting oi the East Coast Association was held, during the week-end under ideal conditions on tin- Wairoa Defence Rillc Clubs range. A record number of marksmen attended, and some fine scores were recorded. Wairoa was represented by BO members. Gisborne by 16. Nuliaka by live, and Tinirotn by two. and there was keen I'ompeiition in t lie various matches. The Unit. .Memorial Belt was won by A. G. Ford, of the Gisborne club, who scored an aggregate of 101 out of a possible of 105 at 500yds. 500yds and 600yds. The runner-up was F. J. deune. Gisborne, with a score ol 1.00. Otlni trophies won during the day were the Taxi Cup for the highest- score at. 500yds, this going to l-\ J. .J fill it* with a score of 34 out, of a possible of 35.
