PILOT DISQUALIFIED
LANDING IN RANGES An adjourned inquiry into the landing of the plane ZK-ACII in the Kahnanawa [hinges, piloted by Mr. Wilfred Potaka, was concluded at Wanganui on Tuesday night. Mr. A. S. Burgess, president of the Western Federated North Island Flying Clubs, presided, and also present were Wing Commander T. M. Willies, Director of Civil Aviation, arid Mr. It. 0. Keane, inspector of aircraft accidents. After long evidence was heard from Mr. Potaka, Flight Lieutenant tan Keith, pilot instructor to the federation, Mr. A. Salter, federation ground engineer, and Mr. B. llayhittle, Hnwera. the decisions reached included one that Mr. Potaka he disqualified for 12 months and tinod the cost of salvaging the machine.
