Opotiki Oj. least Cape 66. and ‘Wellington 57. Moderate or smooth seas were reported e\ci\where. Last Night’s Forecast An anticyclone, still lies across the northern portion oi the North Island. A depression of very slight intensity passing' over the south. A J rush anticyclone is advancing across the Tasman. Winds : Light to fresh north-westerlies at first over the North Island, Imt southerlies over the .South: southerlies becoming •reneral within 24 hours and freshening on parts of the east coast. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rather rough about, Cook and Fovcnux Straits.; elsewhere slight to moderate, hut increasing! on parts of the east coast.
