DRAFTS OF SHEEP EAST COAST TRAFFIC The main drafts of sheep on the roads between Poverty Bay and Whaknlane during the past three weeks commenced to pass through Wliakatane last week-end, on their way to the Taiieiitua railhead. Three special trains of JO trucks each, comprising 0000 sheep, were railed from Taneat.ua on Tuesday morning for the Waikato and northern (list riels.
Business in maize is very restricted on account of the limited offerings and the big price of 8s Id a bushel, through store, which is unaltered since last week. There does not appear to lie any possibility of relief from the high values until the first of the imported stocks arrives from Java in .nav, stales the Auckland Herald.
