NEGRO OLYMPIC STAR PROVIDES FOR PARENTS CLEVELAND, Dec, 2. The Alabama-born parents of Jesse Owens, negro Olympic star, received to-day a share of the sprinter's £IO,(XXI earnings since his return from Germany. The. Jhegro bought Cleveland and Emma Owens an 11-room house—hardwood floors, up-to-the-minute plumbing fixtures and double garage. The modest parents said the gift represented comforts they never had dreamed of in plantation days.
