Blue skies were reported this morning at Napier and in the Bay of Plenty, but overcast conditions prevailed elsewhere in the" North Island. Light to moderate southerly,- breezes were general. . barometer had commenced # rising movement. Temperatures at 9 ° clock were: Auckland 64 degrees, lauranga 63, Opotild 66, East Cape 61, 58 Napier and Wellington 62. Moderate or smooth seas were reported every. ! where. Last Night’s Forecast An anticyclone still covers the Tasman Sea. Tho' pressure has risen considerably over the Dominion, but is still rather low to the south-east. Winds: South-west to southerly prevailing, stilt strong in some exposed positions, outdecreasing, and elsewhere light to moderate.' Seas (New Zealand waters): Lather rough to rough about Cook and Foveaux Straits, hut gradually decreasing and, elsewhere, slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate southerly winds and slight to moderate seas Weather: For the most part hue, with rising temperatures, but a'few passing showers at first on the western and southern coasts of the South Island, later becoming- cloudy on the east coast.
