BEQUEST TO JAPANESE

TOKTO, Jan. 18,

Sannosuke Miyamoto, one of the oldest- Japanese residents of North Borneo, says a Moro chief, who recently died there, bequeathed him the 11 Babaknn islands, 23,000 acres in area, olf the east, coast.

Queen Dyandyan Piandn, who succeeded the chief, lias duly recognised the bequest, Miyamoto says. Japanese Foreign Office officials say the legacy is likely to be confirmed unless it seems unduly to displease Britain, which controls North Borneo.
