THREE NAPIER INQUESTS

RUMOURS DISSIPATED SINGLE WOMAN’S DEATH (Per Press Association,) NAPIER, this day. At an inquest concerning the death of Timothy McCarthy, whose death prior to Christmas was the cause of many wild rumours, a verdict was returned that death was due to natural causes. An inquest concerning the deatli of Norman Edward Christolfcrson, who had his neck broken when thrown from a lorry when it went down a bank near Napier, resulted in the coroner returning a verdict of death from pneumonia, following the severance of the spinal column.

A third inquest concerned the death of a single woman, Bray Gunn. The police stated that they failed to trace the movements of the deceased prior to an abortion which may or may not have been duo to interference. A verdict of death from septicaemia was returned.
