MATAWHERO CONGESTION OLD PATLtAHI RAILWAY In order to relieve congestion of stock at the Waipaoa bridge, Mnlawhero, a. suggestion was made at to-day’s meeting of the Cook County Council that use should be made of the’ old Palulahi railwav bridge. Cr. M. T. B. Hall, who put forward the proposal, said that a. congestion of stock frequently occurred at lit** Waipaoa bridge, especially on ewe and cat tie fair days.

He urged that an estimate should be secured of the cost of decking the old Palulahi railway bridge for stock traffic and that tile old railway approaches, to the bridge should lie used as a slock route.
